Job summary

Katalyst Systems Impact in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting for active commercial construction projects. You will manage job costing, WIP reporting, subcontractor accounting, payroll, and financial reporting in a collaborative, in-office environment.

The role requires 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in commercial construction, GAAP knowledge, and the ability to work with project managers and field operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in commercial construction.
• Experience with contract accounting, job costing and WIP reporting.
• Payroll, AP/AR, month-end close and financial reporting experience.
• GAAP knowledge and construction accounting principles.
• Ability to collaborate with project managers, field ops and leadership.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts receivable, invoicing, payments and deposits.
• Manage accounts payable, pricing checks and PO matching.
• Process payroll and ensure payroll tax compliance.
• Prepare and reconcile tax returns for multiple jurisdictions.
• Oversee job costing, project profitability and reporting.
• Collaborate with subcontractors on payments and documentation.
