Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking an Electronics Hardware Engineer to contribute to the design and development of connectivity hardware including Cellular, Satellite, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and UWB solutions. You will define requirements, support board-level design, component selection, and work with suppliers to deliver production-ready hardware.

Qualifications

• Must have engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of electronics hardware design and reliability practices.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively within cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance with development processes and regulations for electrical systems and components.
• Investigate and troubleshoot all technical issues related to electrical systems and components.
• Manage electrical/electronic equipment vendors for system/component development.
• Mentor craftsmen, technicians and engineers in hardware development.
• Define and manage hardware requirements.
