Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Connectivity Component Platform Lead to drive hardware systems for customer and dealer-facing connectivity solutions. Based in Mossville, IL, you will lead requirements definition, hardware design coordination, and supplier engagement to deliver reliable connectivity products.

You will work with Cat Technology teams on architecture, roadmaps, and compliance, ensuring alignment between system and hardware specifications while guiding cross-functional teams through complex

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering.
• Experience with electronic component products and supplier engagement.
• Familiarity with connectivity/telematics product lines and IoT standards.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate development and support of Connectivity products with Cat partners and suppliers.
• Oversee project progress and costs; communicate status to stakeholders.
• Direct project staffing; motivate and develop team members.
• Ensure compliance with development processes for electrical/electronic systems and components.
• Negotiate with vendors for hardware development and supplier alignment.
• Define and manage hardware requirements and ensure traceability to systems.
