Job summary

Caterpillar in Mossville, IL is seeking a Senior Connectivity Hardware Engineer to lead electronic component design projects for customer and dealer-facing solutions (Cellular, Sat, Wi-Fi, BT, UWB, etc.). You will translate VOC/VOD/VOB inputs into hardware requirements and guide supplier engagement.

You will collaborate with Cat Technology teams, define roadmaps, and drive engineering execution while ensuring alignment with system requirements and regulatory needs.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with electronic component products and integration.
• Experience with Component Product Development for automotive, construction or mining industries.
• Experience with Supplier management.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, audits and controls, defect containment and risk assessment through leading indicators.
• Knowledge of IoT standards, regulations, and regional requirements.
• Ability to communicate technical information with diverse stakeholders.
• Electronic component, information systems, and machine systems development experience.

• Develop and lead Connectivity hardware projects from requirements to delivery.
• Collaborate with Cat Technology and suppliers; manage project costs and schedule.
