Amentum is seeking a Configuration Manager to own CM processes, asset tracking, and change control across multiple environments at our Chantilly, VA location. You will coordinate hardware/software configuration changes and ensure audit-ready records, partnering with engineering, security, and program management teams.

The role requires 5+ years in CM/asset management, and experience with Jira/Confluence/ServiceNow. Onsite work, with opportunities for growth and rigorous compliance support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Configuration Management, Asset Management, IT Operations, or related technical discipline.
• Experience maintaining hardware and software inventories in enterprise or government environments.
• Experience managing baseline configurations, change requests, and configuration documentation.
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of configuration management principles and lifecycle practices.
• Experience supporting Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and audits.
• Experience coordinating among engineering, operations, security, and program management teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsabilités

• Own configuration management processes across multiple environments and lead change control activities.
• Coordinate, track, and document hardware, software, and infrastructure configuration changes.
• Maintain configuration records, asset inventories, and baseline documentation for accuracy and audit readiness.
• Use Jira, Confluence, and other tools to log, track, and report configuration changes and approvals.
• Support CCBs by preparing documentation and tracking actions.
• Maintain lifecycle visibility of program assets from procurement to disposition.
• Assist with procurement tracking and lifecycle replacement schedules.
• Conduct configuration audits to verify compliance with standards and policies.
• Generate status reports and provide metrics to leadership.
