Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Configuration Management professional to support enterprise infrastructure, asset management, and lifecycle activities across multiple environments in Maryland. You will own CM processes, maintain baselines, and ensure audit readiness.

Coordinate changes with engineering, security, and operations; utilize Jira/Confluence/ServiceNow; prepare documentation for audits and CCBS; maintain asset inventories and lifecycle tracking. On-site schedule applies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Configuration Management, Asset Management, IT Operations, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience maintaining hardware and software inventories in a controlled enterprise or government environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing baseline configurations, change requests, and configuration documentation.
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar workflow and documentation management platforms.
• Strong understanding of configuration management principles, status accounting, change control, and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Own configuration management processes, baseline integrity, asset accountability, and change control across multiple environments.
• Coordinate, track, and document hardware, software, and infrastructure configuration changes.
• Administer and maintain configuration records, asset inventories, and baseline documentation.
• Utilize Jira, Confluence, and other CM tools to log, track, and report changes.
• Support Change Control Boards by preparing documentation and tracking actions.
• Maintain inventories of government and company-owned assets and lifecycle visibility.
• Assist with procurement tracking and lifecycle replacement schedules.
• Conduct configuration audits and reviews and generate status accounting reports.
• Provide CM documentation for audits and compliance activities.
