Amentum seeks a Lead Configuration Management Specialist at Fort Meade, MD to orchestrate robust baselines across hybrid environments. You will manage CMDB (ServiceNow) and change workflows (Jira/Confluence), enforce CMPs, and lead CCBs to minimize risk while aligning with ITIL, NIST SP 800-53, and DISA STIGs.

You will drive audits, bridge technical teams, and communicate configuration risks to executive leadership, ensuring seamless transitions and steady state configuration discipline.

Qualifications

• Fifteen (15) years of experience in IT lifecycle management, systems engineering, or quality assurance.
• Seven (7) years in a dedicated Configuration Management role, with lead/management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field; equivalent experience considered.

Responsabilités

• Ensure baselines across hybrid environments are accurate and reliable.
• Manage CMDB in ServiceNow and track CIs via Jira/Confluence.
• Define CMPs, policies, and procedures aligned with ITIL/NIST/DISA standards.
• Lead change management via CCBs and schedule Authorized Service Interruptions.
• Audit configurations against IT security controls and DoD guidelines.
• Lead configuration audits (PCAs/FCAs) and document baselines.
• Coordinate transitions of new systems into the operational baseline.
• Identify drift, drive automated discovery, and improve processes.
• Lead training on baseline procedures and manage incident response for config issues.
• Present risks to senior leadership and maintain RACI ownership.
