Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Senior Configuration Analyst - II to support VA applications and migrate to the cloud. You will develop CM tools, enforce configuration standards, and lead build/release processes across environments, with mentoring responsibilities for junior staff.

The role emphasizes governance, tooling, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure compliant, repeatable deployments in a remote US-based setting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex software builds and releases across multiple environments.
• Proven experience in regulated or federal environments.
• Deep CM and release engineering expertise.
• Knowledge of development, QA, systems engineering, and DevOps.
• Experience with CM practices (identification, baselining, change control, status accounting).

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and migration to the cloud.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software.
• Perform CM and release tasks to document and align with hardware configurations.
• Design, automate, and maintain productivity tools to improve software modeling.
• Lead build procedures and ensure reproducible deployments.
• Train developers in CM tools and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Mentor junior analysts/engineers in CM best practices.
