Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Senior Configuration & Development Engineer to lead configuration and data management across the Lunar Permanence programs. The role focuses on ownership of configuration control, data handling, and process improvements throughout the product lifecycle, with emphasis on quality, safety, and scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years experience in the development and/or manufacturing of highly integrated and complex products.
• Advanced professional expertise of configuration management principles and practices.
• Demonstrated configuration control experience on recently developed products from early trade studies through final design and into manufacturing and test.

Responsibilities

• Maintain existing and establish new configuration management processes to support needs across programs.
• Identify and implement system and process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
• Evaluate and recommend configuration and data management methodologies, technologies, and tools to support business objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and support integration of systems or applications.
• Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify needs and drive scalable solutions.
• Create and monitor process metrics and performance indicators, and initiate corrective actions.
• Develop and own instructional content and training courses on configuration and data management for the enterprise.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, promoting professional development and best practices.
