Job summary

Jekyll Island Club Resort is seeking a skilled Catering Conference Service Manager to coordinate and service all group bookings, including some social and wedding events when assigned by the DOC. The role requires strong organization, guest service excellence, and cross-department collaboration to ensure flawless events on Jekyll Island.

You will maintain knowledge of hotel services, function spaces, menu pricing, and service standards, anticipate guest needs, resolve issues promptly, and uphold

Qualifications

• Coordinate and service all group bookings, including some social/wedding events when assigned by the DOC.
• Ability to maintain knowledge of hotel services and local attractions to respond accurately to guest inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
• Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
• Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests.
• Always maintain positive guest and employee relations.
• Familiarization with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
• Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
• Maintain knowledge of: assigned scheduled group functions, locations and requirements; function room capacities and room names; meeting and banquet room settings; function room features; menu pricing and policies; shipping and receiving policies; banquet service standards.
• General working knowledge of all departments to ensure successful planning and implementation of conventions.
• Effectively handle multiple events.
