Job summary

Tutor Perini is seeking a seasoned Concrete Superintendent to lead on-site concrete construction for major civil projects in Newark, NJ. You will plan, coordinate, and supervise foundations, slabs, walls, and finishing, ensuring work is safe, on schedule, and within budget.

You will collaborate with project management, subcontractors, and field personnel to deliver high-quality concrete structures; read drawings, enforce safety standards, and maintain thorough site documentation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in concrete construction; at least 3 in supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of concrete forming systems, reinforcement, placement, and finishing techniques.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of concrete construction including foundations, slabs, walls, structural concrete, and finishing.
• Plan daily and weekly work activities and coordinate labor, equipment, and materials.
• Supervise field crews and subcontractors to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards are met.
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations; conduct safety meetings and site inspections.
• Review project drawings and specifications to ensure accurate execution of work.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to resolve field issues and maintain schedule.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates on schedule and productivity.
• Maintain site documentation including daily reports, manpower logs, and material tracking.
