Job summary

Tutor Perini O&G Joint Venture seeks a Superintendent for the Newark Air Train project at Newark International Airport in Newark, NJ. You will report to the Project Executive and lead onsite construction activities to meet design, budget, and schedule.

Responsibilities include coordinating scheduling, site logistics, and subcontractor management, while ensuring compliance with contract documents, safety plans, and project procedures.

Qualifications

• 20 years of supervisory field experience on large heavy civil infrastructure projects (200M+).
• Minimum 10 years as superintendent or craft supervision in new building/structure construction.
• Experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques and standards.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with City/State/Federal government clients preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Word/Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy Bid; OSHA/First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction to ensure project is built per design, budget and schedule.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination).
• Ensure compliance of crafts/subcontractors with contract docs; manage materials and equipment use; monitor schedule.
• Provide technical assistance: drawings interpretation, construction methods, equipment recommendations.
• Assist management in developing project schedule and site logistics; implement procedures and standards.
• Support Site Specific Safety Plan and coordinate with on-site Owner employees.

DESCRIPTION

As a Superintendent at Tutor Perini O&G Joint Venture, reporting to the Project Executive, you will have the opportunity to:

• Supervise construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Assume responsibility for planning, coordinating and supervising onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination, etc.).
• Assume responsibility for compliance of crafts and subcontractors with contract documents, efficient use of materials & equipment, and timely performance of the project schedule.
• Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.
• Assist project management in developing, project schedule, site logistics plan and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.
• Support Site Specific Safety Plan.
• Coordinate with on-site Owner employees.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

REQUIREMENTS

• 20 years of supervisory field experience with large heavy civil infrastructure construction projects valued at 200 million plus.
• Minimum of 10 years construction superintendent and/or craft supervision experience in new building and/or structure construction including, piles, concrete and structural steel.
• Knowledge, skills and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards.
• Highschool diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience with City, State, Federal Government Clients preferred.
• Knowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade/unions/craft MS Word/Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy bid OSHA certification, First Aid Certs.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
