Job summary

U.S. Pavement Services is seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead and manage our concrete crews on construction sites.

You will oversee daily operations, ensure safety, on-schedule delivery, and high-quality finishes by reading blueprints and coordinating tasks with project teams. Ideal candidates have hands-on concrete experience, strong leadership, and the ability to guide hourly personnel while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe job site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on concrete experience with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of forming, placing, finishing, and curing concrete.
• Proven ability to read blueprints and interpret construction documents.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Physical ability to perform work in various weather and jobsite conditions.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
• Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise concrete crew members, including finishers and laborers.
• Coordinate daily tasks and assign work based on project needs.
• Ensure correct placement, leveling, finishing, and curing of concrete.
• Read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and follows safety protocols.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and inspections to avoid delays.
• Monitor progress and report status updates to the Superintendent or PM.
• Resolve on-site issues promptly and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Enforce company policies and safety compliance (OSHA, PPE).
• Oversee and supervise daily operations of one concrete crew including safety, quality, and personnel management.
• Must be able to walk through construction sites and lift 50 pounds from the ground.
• Support safety & health programs, including tailgate meetings and investigations.
• Provide guidance and development of hourly personnel to meet performance requirements.
