Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Division Manager to lead concrete construction operations in the DMV area. You will oversee a business unit, drive profitability, manage a team of professionals, and ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in construction with 8+ years in operational management, deep concrete expertise, and a track record of shaping teams, managing multi-million dollar scopes, and delivering complex projects on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 8 years in a similar operational management capacity.
• Concrete experience in shoring, forming, pouring, columns, deck work, and post-tension.
• Experience managing $30-50M in concrete scope over 1-3 projects or more at one time.
• Experience building teams – recruited, interviewed and hired PMs and Superintendents.
• Experienced in multi-level cast in place concrete and large heavy industrial work such as warehouses and data centers.
• Demonstrated experience in project management, risk management, budget management, and procurement.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor teams.
• Problem solving and ability to influence formwork, shoring and deck execution, safety, forecasting, and procedures.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in relevant construction software and project management tools.
• Certifications in Project Management and Risk Management would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the business unit, ensuring alignment with strategy and standards.
• Manage and supervise a team of construction professionals, fostering teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects across shoring, forming, pouring, columns, and deck work.
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and services within budgets.
• Implement risk management strategies to mitigate project risks and uncertainties.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Monitor and report business unit performance to senior management.
