Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Business Unit Manager to lead our concrete construction operations in the DMV area. You will oversee a dedicated team, manage project delivery from shoring to deck work, and drive profitability.

The role requires a minimum of 12 years in construction with 8 years in operational leadership, and a track record of managing multi-million dollar concrete scopes across several projects. Excellent leadership and client relations are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of construction experience with at least 8 years in operational management.
• Concrete experience in shoring, forming, pouring, columns, deck work, and post-tension.
• Experience managing $30-50M in concrete scope across multiple projects.
• Leadership in building and mentoring PMs and superintendents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the business unit, aligned with strategic objectives.
• Lead and mentor a team of construction professionals to deliver high-quality projects.
• Plan, execute, and deliver projects from shoring to deck work on time and within budget.
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and services for cost effectiveness.
• Implement risk management strategies to mitigate project risks.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor unit performance and report insights to senior management.
