Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Project Manager for commercial construction in the DC area. You will oversee all phases from preconstruction to completion, own project outcomes, and lead client interactions to ensure high-quality results.

The role requires strong cost control, subcontractor management, and coordination with architects and stakeholders. A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management.
• Experience in cost control, subcontracting, and contract management.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Experience in preconstruction planning and value engineering.
• Prior healthcare construction and commercial interiors experience is desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all stages of project lifecycle, including preconstruction planning, blueprint review, and project execution.
• Manage subcontractors and construction teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Implement cost-control measures to monitor project expenses and ensure financial targets are met.
• Review and interpret project blueprints, ensuring alignment with design specs and quality standards.
• Coordinate with clients, architects and stakeholders to define and meet project objectives.
• Conduct value engineering to optimize cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• Manage contracts, including negotiation, compliance and dispute resolution.
• Oversee construction of interiors and healthcare facilities with adherence to regs and safety.
• Regularly report project status to senior management with schedule and budget updates.
• Foster a collaborative project environment with clear communication and teamwork.
