Job summary

Fessler & Bowman, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Superintendent in the Greenville region to oversee multiple heavy civil and concrete project sites. You will ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget while meeting quality and safety standards, leading diverse teams across locations.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in heavy civil/concrete construction with strong leadership and blueprint interpretation skills, and a commitment to safety and ethics. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years in heavy civil or concrete construction.
• At least 5 years as a job-site leader in concrete or heavy civil.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving with multi-location teams.
• Expert in interpreting complex blueprints, site plans, and topographical specifications.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, project management software.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety required; First Aid/CPR; ACI and SWPPP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations across multiple locations with resource allocation.
• Develop concrete crews, recruit and mentor team members.
• Review timesheets and daily reports and resolve issues.
• Schedule equipment, forms, and mobilization for each job.
• Ensure safety inspections and housekeeping compliance.
• Coordinate with PMs to meet production and budget targets.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors per contracts.
• Uphold integrity and code of ethics.
