Job summary

MAP SSG is hiring a Software Engineer, Compute Infrastructure to build and evolve the core compute platform used by millions of developers. This remote role supports the U.S. and Canada, offering a base salary with competitive equity.

You will work on large-scale Kubernetes, distributed systems, compute orchestration, and multi-cloud infrastructure. You’ll own impactful infrastructure projects and write production-grade Go code in a fast-growing cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software or cloud infra.
• Deep hands-on Kubernetes expertise (operations, scaling, networking).
• Experience building infrastructure across multiple clusters at scale.
• Strong software engineering background with ongoing coding work.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate large-scale Kubernetes and compute infrastructure.
• Design systems spanning multiple cloud providers, regions, and data centers.
• Improve cluster scalability, reliability, performance, and operational flexibility.
• Build infrastructure components, controllers, orchestration systems, and automation in Go.
• Investigate complex distributed systems and cloud infra issues.
• Lead high-risk infra upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime.
• Improve node/pod/container/startup performance.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
