Job summary

Matrix Service Company in Houston seeks an Engineer III focused on Computational Analysis to perform advanced structural design and analysis for steel and concrete structures using finite element tools. You will lead individual analysis tasks within a collaborative team on large projects.

The role requires strong knowledge of statics, dynamics, and API/ASME codes, with experience in ANSYS, STAAD, and related software. Occasional travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering is required; MS degree is preferred.
• PE certification is preferred for the role.
• 5+ years of related engineering experience is expected.
• Strong knowledge of strength of materials and stress analysis.
• Experience with API-620/650/653 and ASME VIII is valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced structural design and analysis for steel and concrete structures.
• Apply finite element analysis tools to analyze loads and dynamic effects.
• Lead individual analysis tasks within a collaborative team.
• Prepare analysis reports and communicate results to clients.
• Coordinate tasks with junior engineers and designers.
• Ensure safety, quality, and adherence to codes and standards.
