Job summary
Matrix PDM Engineering in Tulsa, OK seeks an Engineer III focused on Computational Analysis to perform advanced structural design and analysis of steel and concrete structures. You will apply finite element analysis tools to projects, support design teams, and help manage tasks with a mix of small and large projects.
The role emphasizes code compliance, quality assurance, and collaboration, with potential supervision of junior engineers and designers as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or better in Engineering.
- Advanced knowledge of strength of materials, stress analysis and structural engineering.
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) of steel shells and with thermal/dynamic loading.
- Experience with ANSYS APDL/Workbench or similar FEA software.
- Working knowledge of MathCAD, AutoCAD, STAAD, and COMPASS.
Responsibilities
- Develops computer models from design drawings.
- Applies engineering first principles to find solutions for steel and concrete structures.
- Supports design engineering efforts for storage structures to API and ASME codes/standards.
- Assists in preparing and managing scope, budget and schedule for projects.
- Edits specifications and prepares portions of project documents.
