Job summary

Aleron seeks a Composite Materials and Processes Engineer III for its Bertram, TX site. You will apply broad technical knowledge to support design, manufacturing, testing, and R&D projects, and serve as a key member of the advanced materials team.

You will evaluate carbon fiber composites, lead material testing, drive process improvements, and collaborate with internal and external customers to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Materials Engineering or Polymer Science or Mechanical Engineering or Engineering or Science.
• 5+ years of experience in providing guidance, coaching, and training to other materials engineering employees, mentors, junior staff, and broadly sharing across the organization.
• 5+ years of experience in polymeric materials research, testing, or manufacturing.
• 5+ years of experience in coordinating and conducting laboratory work and data analysis to drive technical materials engineering decisions.

Responsibilities

• Support design, manufacturing, testing, and R&D projects as an experienced materials engineer.
• Evaluate new materials and perform failure analysis to provide solutions for customers.
• Lead material testing and evaluations, including microscopy, thermal and mechanical testing.
