Job summary

Echodyne seeks a Senior Component Engineer to own component engineering for radar products across development, production, and sustaining. You will evaluate components, manage qualification plans, and coordinate with design engineers to ensure reliable, cost-effective parts throughout the product lifecycle.

You will drive PCN/EOL, obsolescence, and supplier qualification activities, while coordinating with Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing to maintain lifecycle continuity and data

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating electronic components used in analog, digital, RF, power, and related electronic systems.
• Ability to interpret datasheets, specifications, qualification data, and supplier documentation and make independent technical recommendations.
• Experience managing component lifecycle activities including PCNs, EOLs, obsolescence, alternate components, and second sourcing.
• Experience performing BOM reviews and identifying technical, lifecycle, availability, and supply risks.
• Experience planning and executing component qualification and supporting electronic hardware through production.
• Experience working with PLM systems, engineering change processes, and controlled product documentation.
• Problem solving, communication, organization, and cross functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Own component engineering activities for assigned products through development, production, and sustaining phases.
• Evaluate components based on performance, reliability, availability, cost, lifecycle, and application requirements.
• Review new part requests against design requirements and component risks before production release.
• Coordinate with design engineers on component selection and issue resolution.
• Manage component data in PLM and support design and production-readiness reviews.
• Drive lifecycle, obsolescence, and supply continuity activities for assigned products.
