Job summary

Echodyne seeks a Principal Systems Architect for Radar Development to join our fast-growing team. You will develop system architectures, performance budgets, and field-ready capabilities that meet customer needs, working at the nexus of radar theory, RF electronics, embedded computing, and power distribution for global applications.

The role leads hardware/firmware/algorithm interfaces, collaborates with HW and SW teams, and contributes to roadmap discussions with product and manufacturing

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in complex embedded/electronic systems.
• Experience leading systems engineering for RF/mixed-signal products.
• Strong skills in modeling, trade studies, and data debugging.
• Proficiency with Python or MATLAB and HW/SW debugging.

Responsibilities

• Translate product/customer use cases into measurable system requirements and performance budgets.
• Define radar system architecture across hardware, firmware, algorithms, and product interfaces.
• Utilize system budgets to effectively manage tradeoffs among competing requirements.
• Lead system-level performance closure through analytical means such as modeling/simulation and field data interpretation.
• Enable integration readiness through collaboration with cross-functional HW and SW leads.
• Establish verification philosophy in partnership with integration/test leadership, including verification strategy, requirement coverage, traceability, and reporting.
• Serve as a principal technical voice in roadmap and design reviews, teaming with product, manufacturing, and customer support teams.
