Job summary

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking a Component Engineer for the Hardware Engineering team in Grand Prairie, TX. You will lead component selection, qualification, obsolescence management, and lifecycle activities on defense programs, ensuring compliance with MIL specifications and customer requirements.

You will collaborate across vendors, customers, and PMCs, developing test plans, leading failure investigations, and coordinating screening and NSPARs while supporting program

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in Component Engineering or related experience such as circuit card manufacturing, SMT, thermal profiling, troubleshooting, cable assembly.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct preparation of project documentation to meet customer and company requirements.
• Evaluate vendors and analyze EEEE component test reports.
• Lead component standardization, part selection, and change notices.
• Develop qualification test plans and execute part qualifications.
• Lead Component Failure Investigations and qual tests at alternate test houses.
