Job summary

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Orlando, Florida, seeks a Component Engineer to own the end-to-end lifecycle of EEEE components, collaborating with design, manufacturing and supply-chain teams to ensure parts are qualified and field-ready.

Responsibilities include selecting and qualifying components, directing tests, maintaining SCDs, approving vendor test reports, conducting supplier audits, and mentoring junior engineers while aligning with program requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or closely related STEM field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of component engineering or related experience in electronics components and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end lifecycle of electrical, electronic, electromechanical, and electro-optical components.
• Plan and direct component-test campaigns; review test data and failure-analysis results.
• Create and maintain Component Source Control Drawings (SCDs) and associated documentation.
• Evaluate vendors; conduct supplier audits; approve vendor test reports.
• Oversee subcontractor-supplied components; ensure contractual and internal standards compliance.
• Generate and approve NSPARs during PMPCB meetings.
• Review engineering drawings and technical data packages.
• Lead or support PMP issue resolutions and root-cause investigations.
• Conduct failure analysis and recommend corrective actions in the EEEE domain.
• Coordinate with program, quality, and manufacturing teams on component selections.
