Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Component Engineer to own lifecycle monitoring of electrical components from fabrication to delivery. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing and suppliers to mitigate obsolescence and ensure compliance with DoD requirements.

The role requires strong document control, risk assessment, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance and citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or closely related STEM field from an accredited university.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in Component Engineering or related areas such as circuit card manufacturing, SMT, thermal profiling, or qualification tests.
• Basic knowledge of electronic components (passive and active) and their usage in circuit design.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsabilités

• Lifecycle monitoring of EEE components from fabrication to delivery.
• Create and maintain Source Control Drawings (SCDs) per Lockheed Martin processes.
• Review datasheets, evaluate performance, flag obsolescence risks.
• Manage subcontractor-supplied parts and NSPARs.
• Produce documents and drawings for component releases and qualification.
• Support failure analysis, non-conformances, and counterfeit risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with suppliers on new releases, roadmaps, and end-of-life decisions.
• Assist Manufacturing and Quality with technical issues and verification of handling.
• Work with Design Engineers to select approved and reliable components.
