Job summary

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Orlando, FL seeks a Component Engineer to act as the technical authority for electrical parts, guiding qualification, documentation, and supplier oversight for flight‑critical hardware.

You will lead or support failure analysis, SCD maintenance, and PMPCB NSPAR processes, collaborating across cross‑functional teams to ensure reliable, compliant components throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field; Master’s preferred.
• 3+ years in Component Engineering or related areas such as circuit card manufacturing, SMT, thermal profiling, and failure analysis.

Responsibilities

• Select, evaluate, qualify, test, and perform failure analysis on electrical, electronic, electromechanical, and electro-optical components.
• Prepare and maintain Component Source Control Drawings (SCDs) and review subcontractor drawings and NPARS during PMPCB meetings.
• Review component test reports, authorize qualified sources, and provide guidance to suppliers and internal teams.
