Job summary

Raytheon seeks a Senior Principal Component Engineer to join the Parts, Libraries and Obsolescence (PLO) Department, primarily supporting programs in the Boston, MA area. This is a remote-based position.

You will lead components engineering and applications tasks across airborne, ground, and tactical platforms, developing Parts Management Plans and parts procurement strategies in accordance with SOW and PMCB processes. Some travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM Bachelor's and 10+ years as a baseline.
• Experience with electrical component commodities (ICs, semiconductors, passive, RF).
• Knowledge of military/aerospace component drawings, standards and QPLs.
• Experience developing component drawings and part applications.

Responsibilities

• Understand program requirements and SOWs for component environmental/applications.
• Provide parts selection and standardization guidance per constraints.
• Generate and revise component drawings and verification data packages.
• Review reliability and PMCB-related data for adjudication.
• Perform alternate part investigations and create comparison matrices.
• Interface with stakeholders and suppliers to assess risk and verification.
• Coordinate BOM creation and present standardization and obsolescence results.
