Job summary

Raytheon seeks a Senior Principal Component Engineer to lead parts engineering for airborne and ground platforms in the Boston area on a remote-based role. You will drive parts management, environmental requirements, and verification across proposal through LRIP and production, interfacing with design, SCM, and PMO.

The role requires a STEM degree with 10+ years in component engineering and knowledge of military drawings, qualifications, and BOM management. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 10+ years of relevant experience in component engineering for military/aerospace.
• Experience with electrical component commodities and derating for flight applications.
• Knowledge of military component drawings, standards, test specs, and Qualified Manufacturers Lists.

Responsibilities

• Lead component environmental/characteristic application requirements across programs.
• Provide guidance on technology insertion, parts selection, and standardization.
• Generate and revise component drawings and verification data packages.
• Interface with stakeholders to develop component risk and verification delineation.
• Support PMCB reviews and collaboration for BOM in program tooling.
• Present results on standardization and obsolescence management during design reviews.
