Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Principal Component Engineer to join the Parts, Libraries and Obsolescence (PLO) Department, primarily supporting programs in the Boston, MA area. This is a remote-based position, requiring the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

The role leads components engineering and applications tasks across proposal, LRIP, production and support, developing parts management plans and procurement strategies, and ensuring compliance with part selection,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and at least 10 years of relevant experience in components engineering.
• Experience with electrical component commodities and aerospace flight applications.
• Knowledge of military component drawings, standards, and related qualification lists.
• Experience developing component drawings and determining part applications to meet program objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead components engineering tasks supporting airborne, ground, and tactical platforms across proposal, LRIP, production and support.
• Develop and execute parts management plans and procurement strategies per SOW and program directives.
• Verify program parts lists for compliance with selection, standardization, and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with designers, suppliers, SCM, PMO and other disciplines to assess component risk and verification.
• Coordinate BOM development and contribute to program design reviews with standardization and obsolescence management.
