Rockland Trust in Norwood, MA is seeking a Compliance Program Officer to join the Second Line of Defense within the Enterprise Risk Management department. You will participate in issues management, risk assessments, training, and third-party risk oversight to ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong knowledge of consumer protection laws, CMS concepts, and experience in monitoring, training, and program governance across lines of business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of audit or compliance experience in banking or regulatory setting.
• Thorough knowledge of consumer protection laws and CMS concepts (e.g., TILA, RESPA, ECOA).
• Experience with risk-based compliance monitoring/testing and scoping.
• Experience with consumer compliance training programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage compliance risk assessments and develop risk-based second-line monitoring framework.
• Oversee Issues Management in CMS, track remediation through resolution.
• Oversee enterprise-wide consumer compliance training and annual review of content.
• Assess compliance risk of new products, services, and third-party providers via TPRM and PM processes.
• Support governance through CMS program revisions and internal/external examination responses.
• Collaborate to integrate compliance requirements into business processes and procedures.
