Job summary

Rockland Trust is seeking a Manager of First Line Business Unit Risk Management to lead a team of risk specialists and collaborate with stakeholders across three lines of defense. The role supports enterprise risk management programs, including RCSA, issues, incident, and third-party risk management, as well as model risk and business continuity.

The position emphasizes advisor leadership, risk workshops, and reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in risk management or related disciplines.
• Leadership or people-management experience.
• Strong understanding of ERM frameworks, risk assessments, control testing, and issue management.
• Experience facilitating meetings and presenting to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk assessments for the business units and end-to-end processes, including mapping, risk identification, and residual risk evaluation.
• Oversee control testing activities and validate design and operating effectiveness.
• Identify, document, and monitor issues with remediation plans and timelines.
• Provide guidance on risk programs and partner with leaders to strengthen risk awareness.
• Support governance, risk, and compliance administration and reporting.
