Job summary

Providence Community Health Centers is seeking a Compliance and Risk Officer to lead enterprise-wide compliance, risk management, HIPAA privacy, patient safety, regulatory oversight, investigations, and ethics. This executive role ensures an effective culture of compliance, privacy, safety, and risk reduction throughout the organization.

The officer develops and oversees the Corporate Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, and HIPAA Privacy Programs, serving as the Compliance Officer and HIPAA

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of healthcare compliance, risk management, privacy, auditing, quality improvement, or related operations experience.
• Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center or similar patient-centered healthcare environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements, privacy laws, risk management, and ethics programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Corporate Compliance Program and oversee policy development, training, monitoring, and auditing activities.
• Oversee HIPAA Privacy Program, safeguards for PHI/ePHI, privacy risk assessments, and breach investigations.
• Manage Enterprise Risk Management and Patient Safety Programs, investigations, reporting, and corrective action plans.
• Partner with HR, legal, and operations to ensure regulatory compliance and effective screening.
• Present findings to leadership and Board committees and coordinate with external regulators and insurers.
