Job summary

Roers Companies is seeking an energetic Compliance Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Compliance Department in Austin, TX. You will oversee initial certifications, annual recertifications, and unit transfers, while ensuring adherence to LIHTC, HUD, HOME and investor requirements.

You will coach Compliance Specialists, collaborate with Operations, Leasing, and Asset Management, and drive process improvements to meet SLAs and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of LIHTC regulations and affordable housing compliance.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Ability to interpret complex regulations and communicate them effectively.
• Outstanding organizational and project management abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Experience interpreting federal, state, and investor regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Compliance Specialists and Senior Compliance Specialists.
• Oversee processing of certifications, recertifications, and transfers.
• Ensure files meet quality standards and SLAs.
• Review complex compliance scenarios and elevate high-risk issues.
• Implement process improvements and department policies.
• Collaborate with property operations, leasing, asset management, and accounting.
• Prepare reports on workload, processing times, and compliance trends.
