Roers Companies in Austin, TX is seeking a Compliance Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of the Compliance Department, ensuring timely processing of affordable housing certifications and adherence to LIHTC, HUD, HOME and other program requirements.

The role provides leadership to Compliance Specialists, partners with Operations, Leasing, and Asset Management, drives process improvements, and maintains a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of LIHTC regulations and affordable housing compliance.
• Proven leadership and coaching skills.
• Ability to interpret complex regulations and communicate them effectively.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
• Experience interpreting federal, state, and investor regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop Compliance Specialists and Senior Compliance Specialists.
• Oversee processing of initial certifications, annual recertifications, and unit transfers.
• Ensure compliance files meet company quality standards before approval.
• Monitor processing timelines and SLA adherence.
• Perform quality control reviews and file audits.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Leasing, Asset Management) to meet occupancy and compliance goals.
