Qualifications

• Requires six years of professional investigative experience or a mix of college coursework and experience totaling six years.
• Experience in consumer protection, real estate, mortgage lending, or financial investigations is preferred.
• Ability to organize data, prepare reports, and coordinate with multiple agencies.

Responsibilities

• Investigate violations of the Colorado Consumer Protection Act and related statutes.
• Develop investigative strategies and manage case files from inception to disposition.
• Interview complainants, witnesses, and industry professionals; collect evidence.
• Prepare testimony, exhibits, and witnesses for court; assist attorneys as needed.
• Lead investigations related to real estate transactions, appraisals, and mortgage lending.
