Job summary

State of Colorado’s Office of the Attorney General is seeking a Compliance Specialist II to support POST rules and certification processes for Colorado peace officers and training academies. The role involves inspections, SME coordination, and ensuring adherence to POST standards.

The position requires travel within the state, flexible work options, and the ability to manage multiple compliance tasks. A strong background in regulatory inspection and report writing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with compliance, inspections, or regulatory standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the POST mission by conducting announced and unannounced inspections of Colorado Law Enforcement Training Academies.
• Review academy documents for content and rule compliance; prepare reports for leadership.
• Proctor POST exams and manage certification processes; track trainings and certifications.
