Job summary

State of Colorado's Auto Industry Division seeks a Criminal Investigator III to lead complex investigations of licensees within the auto industry. You will coordinate with agencies, gather evidence, and guide cases through the prosecutorial process, while complying with Colorado statutes and Division rules.

The role requires strong investigative acumen, ability to manage multi-jurisdictional cases, and excellent communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Six years of relevant investigative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess valid Colorado POST certification or be willing to obtain before appointment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct complex investigations of criminal activity in the auto industry.
• Coordinate with licensees, witnesses, and regulatory authorities; testify in court or hearings.
• Prepare comprehensive case files and maintain records for investigations and disciplinary actions.
