Job summary

Trina Storage North America is seeking a Senior Compliance Engineer to lead product regulatory efforts for utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage testing and certifications, and develop robust documentation to support global markets.

The role requires an engineering background, 5–7 years in regulatory compliance, and the ability to work evenings to coordinate with global functions. Travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in regulatory compliance for utility-scale solar, wind, or storage projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience creating processes and procedures to support growth.
• Ability to work autonomously on multiple responsibilities and deliver commitments.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and coordinate with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Validate product design to ensure compliance with required standards in intended markets.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align project objectives and deliverables.
• Create and maintain test templates for various product testing and validation.
• Review and approve third-party testing.
• Source and manage third-party testing, modelling, and analysis vendors.
• Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.
• Communicate risks, issues, and progress clearly to stakeholders.
• All other duties and special projects as assigned by Management.
