Job summary

Earthjustice is seeking a Senior Compliance Analyst to serve in the General Counsel’s Office. You will build and manage a centralized system for tracking regulatory obligations across Earthjustice (501(c)(3)) and Earthjustice Action (501(c)(4)), plus related political committees.

The role focuses on high-risk filing, registration, reporting, and recordkeeping to reduce legal and reputational risk. You will collaborate with Legal, Policy, Finance, and HR, administer deadlines, prepare filings,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible compliance, legal operations, political law, or regulatory experience.
• Experience preparing regulatory filings and reconciling data from payroll, timekeeping, and expenditures.
• Experience building and maintaining compliance calendars, trackers, and internal controls.
• Strong organization and judgment with ability to manage deadlines and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain compliance calendars and deadline tracking tools across entities.
• Coordinate with Legal, Finance, HR, and advocacy teams to gather information and ensure filings.
• Advise internal teams on lobbying and nonprofit compliance requirements and monitor regulatory developments.
• Monitor time reporting and ensure accurate regulatory filings and disclosures.
• Support audits and reviews; prepare filings and manage vendor submissions.
