Job summary

NBT Bank seeks a Compliance Specialist III to manage increasingly complex compliance filings within established standards, reviewing colleagues' submissions and ensuring accuracy. The role includes mentoring teammates and ensuring high-quality deliverables across government filings.

Education includes an Associate degree with 5+ years of related experience or equivalent, and the ASPPA QKA designation. Proficiency in Excel and reporting is essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 5+ years related experience or equivalent.
• ASPPA QKA designation is required.
• Strong ability to read complex retirement documents and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare compliance tests and year-end packages with accurate determinations.
• Prepare and publish Form 5500, 5330, 8955-SSA and related schedules.
• Maintain knowledge of complex plan types and assist with issues.
• Mentor team members and develop processes for best practices.
• Perform asset reconciliation and research variances as needed.
• Support plan documents including restatements and SPDs.
