Berkshire Hathaway Direct Insurance Company (BHDIC) is seeking a Complex Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist for the Northeastern USA region. This fully remote role handles highly complex WC claims, requiring deep knowledge of WC regulations and multi-state experience.

You will lead investigations, reserves, and collaborate with defense counsel, medical providers, and internal stakeholders to resolve large exposures while maintaining regulatory compliance and superior service.

Qualifications

• 10+ years handling complex workers’ compensation claims.
• Strong leadership and time management skills.
• Experience with complex/regulatory claims and litigation coordination.
• Ability to work independently in a virtual office.

Responsabilités

• Investigate coverage and manage high exposure, complex WC claims.
• Update reserves and document rationale through the claim life.
• Collaborate with defense counsel and medical providers to manage litigated files.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal WC regulations.
• Provide exceptional service to policyholders, agents and vendors.
