Berkshire Hathaway Direct Insurance Company (BHDIC) is seeking an experienced Complex Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist for a fully remote role serving the Northeastern USA. The position manages high-exposure WC claims with deep knowledge of regulations, reserving, and litigation, preferring multi-state experience (CT, DE, MI, NH, RI, VA, MA, PA, MN, WV).

• 10+ years of experience handling complex workers’ compensation claims.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, communication and time management skills.
• Experience with structured settlements and Medicare Set-Asides.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, virtual office environment.

Responsabilités

• Investigate coverage, determine compensability, and manage a high-exposure WC claims caseload.
• Proactively establish and update reserves throughout the claim life.
• Provide independent case value recommendations on cases exceeding authority.
• Collaborate with outside defense counsel and manage litigated files.
