Job summary

CNA Insurance in California is seeking an experienced senior claims professional to manage highly complex commercial claims. This individual contributor role works under general direction with broad authority to deliver effective resolutions and coordinate all claim activities.

You will handle investigations, settlement strategies, and coordination with attorneys, insureds, and internal partners while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Professional designation preferred.
• Typically a minimum eight years claims experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages highly complex investigations of claims, including coverage issues, liability, compensability and damages.
• Negotiates highly complex settlement packages and authorizes payment within scope of authority.
• Coordinates discovery and litigation strategy with staff counsel or panel attorneys.
• Keeps current on state/territory regulations and industry trends.
• Provides guidance to less experienced claims staff and partners with internal teams.
