• Determines if major claims should be settled or litigated and sets strategy.
• Manages loss costs and claim expenses.
• Coordinates discovery and litigation strategy with staff counsel.
• Negotiates complex settlements and authorizes payments within authority.
• Analyzes claims activity and reports to management.
