Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Senior Complex Casualty Claims Resolution Specialist for the Central Region. You will lead the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of high-exposure auto and homeowner claims, collaborating with counsel and management to drive strategy.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of coverage, liability and complex claims handling procedures.
• Able to handle claims at the highest technical and complexity level.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws in adjuster’s jurisdiction.
• Full working knowledge of claims operations and procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communications, interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 7+ years of related experience.
• Ability to obtain proper licensing as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage investigation, evaluation and resolution of complex auto and homeowner claims.
• Assess coverage, liability and damages; recommend settlements and obtain authority review.
• Identify potential suspicious claims and refer to SIU; pursue subrogation opportunities.
• Collaborate with trial counsel; attend mediations, arbitrations, trials and hearings.
• Prepare detailed litigation and trial reports for local management and Home Office.
• Communicate with policyholders, witnesses and attorneys to gather information and guidance.
• Respond to inquiries including status reports and maintain reserves.
• Oversee billing practices of outside and in-house counsel and ensure compliance.
• Mentor colleagues; participate in special projects as directed.
