Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist for the Personal Lines Casualty team to manage attorney-represented auto and homeowners claims. You will investigate, value, and settle claims while delivering prompt service to policyholders across mild to moderate complexity.

The role offers hybrid work with on-site at least two days monthly for nearby candidates; fully remote for those living farther, with CST schedule and opportunities to coordinate with trial

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communications skills required.
• Good interpersonal, analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Demonstrated competency of legal liability, general insurance policy coverage and State Tort Law.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 12-18 months of related experience.
• Ability to obtain proper licensing as required.

Responsibilities

• Manages, investigates, and resolves claims; evaluates coverage, liability, damages, and settles within authority.
• Identifies potential suspicious claims and refers to SIU; explores third-party subrogation opportunities.
• Prepares for and attends trials, hearings, and conferences; reports to Home Office and local management.
• Confers with trial counsel and prepares trial reports.
• Communicates with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants to gather information and advise on next steps.
• Responds to written and telephone inquiries and status reports.
• Ensures adequacy of reserves; manages financial processing and security of claims files.
• Updates files and provides comprehensive reports; manages outside and in-house counsel billing.
