Job summary

Datadog is building a product‑led Competitive Intelligence function to inform strategy, roadmap prioritization, positioning, and competitive readiness. As a Staff Competitive Intelligence Analyst you will own the operating system for CompIntel across priority competitors and adjacent market opportunities.

In this highly technical role, you should understand observability products, translate findings into roadmap recommendations, and present concise, leadership‑ready briefs to Product and GTM

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, product strategy, or related enterprise software work.
• Strong technical fluency in observability, cloud infrastructure, security, or distributed systems.
• Ability to read and synthesize technical docs, release notes, and competitor materials.
• Excellent executive writing and ability to produce concise memos and briefs.

Responsibilities

• Own the recurring competitive radar for Datadog’s priority competitor set with taxonomy and update cadence.
• Produce competitive deep dives, feature-gap analyses, early-warning briefs, and opportunity assessments.
• Translate CompIntel findings into roadmap recommendations and leadership-ready guidance.
• Build and maintain a central CompIntel repository with profiles, sources, and briefs.
• Convert validated findings into GTM-ready handoffs for battlecards and field enablement.
• Synthesize signals from product, engineering, sales, customer success, and analyst research.
• Partner with product management to frame competitive questions and connect findings to roadmap.
