Job summary

Datadog is seeking a Staff Product Manager for the Observability Data Platform (ODP) to lead foundational platform bets that reshape telemetry economics and platform costs. You will drive cost-to-serve insights, pricing discussions, and cross‑functional alignment with engineering, FinOps, and product teams.

You’ll shape product direction, defend sizing and impact estimates, and communicate complex architecture to executives and customers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Product Management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with telemetry, observability, or platform-scale products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set product direction across foundational platform bets by defining problems and outcomes with engineering.
• Collaborate on the long-term cost-and-value architecture of the platform.
• Develop and defend sizing and impact estimates for large, multi-team programs.
• Anticipate market trends in telemetry economics and agentic observability.
• Understand cost-to-serve by partnering with engineering on unit economics.
• Surface customer-positive angles in cost work led by optimization teams.
• Deliver concise written and verbal communication to executive, engineering, and customer audiences.
