Job summary

1Password is seeking a Senior Compensation Consultant to join the Total Rewards team for a 6-month contract. This remote role supports compensation processes across the US and Canada, reporting to the Senior Director, Total Rewards.

You will drive merit, promotion and equity cycles, analyze data, and collaborate with Finance, Legal, and People teams to ensure accurate, equitable pay practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of compensation experience, ideally in a fast-growing or global organization or a consulting firm.
• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and develop evidence-based recommendations.
• Use Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel confidently, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data modeling.
• Manage compensation processes or projects from planning through implementation.
• Communicate complex topics clearly in writing and conversation, while building effective relationships with HR Business Partners and business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Support annual compensation processes, including merit, promotion, and equity cycles, from planning through completion.
• Validate compensation data, maintain accurate models, and prepare analyses, reports, and recommendations.
• Coordinate new-hire, promotion, and internal-move equity awards with Finance, Legal, Accounting, and relevant People teams.
• Conduct market pricing, benchmarking, job evaluation, and internal equity analyses.
• Provide thoughtful, responsive compensation guidance to HR Business Partners and business leaders.
• Support projects focused on process improvement, pay equity analysis, program documentation, and the development of tools and templates.
